When you look in the mirror, what do you see?

For weeks after Akuze, it was hard for Rikahsha Shepard to get up in the mornings, especially after nights haunted by the memories of the soldiers she had lost under her command. the icing on the cake was seeing the large scaring gash across her face in the mirror, a reminder of when her visor shattered that day. the scar was a painful reminder for the longest time, more so when excepting praise where she felt none was deserved. "you're a survivor!" -but at what cost?- "you're an inspiration to us all!" - it was luck that i got out of there alive...- time passed, wounds healed, but the memories were fresh. She learned to cope with what she had lived through and she vowed to fight, to live, and to grow stronger for those she had failed, just as she had when she lost her family on Mindoir. When she looks upon her scar, she remembers that day, and the vows she's made. she wears it like a badge of honour, time having changed her perspective. So when you look in the mirror, what is it that you see?

this was a sketch from about a year ago that i did about my colonist, sole survivor shepard. if anything it was to give a reason to the scar i gave her during creation. meh. i dont really remember what was going through my head then , but i still really like this, even if it is just a sketch
